Tactile indicators are primarily used to assist individuals with visual impairments in navigating public spaces safely. These indicators are used to let people know that a point of importance has been reached such as a crosswalk or set of stairs. They are typically installed on walking surfaces such as sidewalks, pedestrian crossings, train platforms, car parks, and in public buildings.

We supply premium quality peel and stick tactile indicators made from high-grade UV-stabilised, recycled polyurethane designed to last a minimum of 5 years, even in heavily trafficked areas.

They feature a butyl self-adhesive backing, which creates an incredibly strong bond without the need for glue.

These tactiles are available in a variety of colours and configurations include peel and stick hazardous tactile pads (dots) and directional tiles (bars). 

Aussie made to comply with AS/NZS 1428.4.1:2009, they are designed with a high P5 slip rating and are suitable for almost any application. They are also VicRoads and QLD Main Roads approved. 

Quick & Easy Installation

Using the Safety Xpress peel and stick indicators is the quickest and easiest way to apply tactiles.

Simply peel off the backing and apply the tactile directly to the surface.

Using these high grade UV stabilised polyurethane tiles is the most convenient way of applying tactiles. There is no need for glue or any other adhesive. It is important to get the positioning right when you place them, because once they make contact with the surface the aggressive bond makes them difficult to move.

They are ideal for floors where the surface is smooth and clean. We recommend using a surface primer when applying to porous surfaces like timber and concrete. Please note that these tactiles may not be suitable for asphalt or new concrete that has been poured within the last weeks.
