Ordering Information and Instructions
We measure our stair nosing in lineal metres. Measurements are required in millimetres (mm) as a lineal metre is 1000mm (1metre).
It is important that we get your stair nosing order right so that your stairs are compliant and looking their best. For this reason, please read the following information carefully.
Our price is per lineal metre (1000mm) without countersunk holes and screws.
Add another $1.50 + gst per lineal metre (1000mm) to have countersunk holes and screws included in your order. You will notice the tick box above to add this option to your order.
This stair nosing has an insert which will come separately and is easy to apply to your stair nosing with the double-sided tape attached. We leave it up to you to apply because some customers need to drill their own holes in allocated spaces that are only able to be determined once onsite.
How to work out what you need to order:
Add your quantity of stair nosing individual lengths required (in mm) and total them up. This is the total amount of lineal metres that you require. Round up the measurements to the next lineal metre. (See Rounding Up/Down below) This is what you will be charged for.
I have 10 stairs that I want to install stair nosing on. Each step is 850mm long.
850mm x 10 =8500mm = 8.5 lineal metres
As the stair nosing is sold per lineal metre I will be charged for 9 lineal metres as it is rounded up to the next metre.
If my total was between 8.1 and 8.4 lineal metres, the amount I would be charged for would be rounded down to 8 metres but I would still receive 8.4 metres. Anything totalling between 8.5 and 9.0 metres is charged at 9 lineal metres.
This is the rounding up, rounding down rule.
The staff at Safety Xpress are amazing but they are not mind readers, so I will need to tell them that I want my stair nosing pieces to be cut 850mm long to fit each of my stairs.
I will need to do this in the comments box that appears when I finalise my order with my payment. If I fail to do this the Safety Xpress team will have to contact me and this will hold up my order from production and dispatch to me.
Lead time on stair nosing is generally 2-3 days. Special order stair nosing is 4-5 days. (This includes some stair nosing with inserts and our FRP stair nosing)
‘Cut your own stair nosing lengths’ is available should you require it. The longest lengths we can supply is 3.6 metres (3600mm) in Victoria and 2.6 metres (2600mm) in all other States due to shipping restrictions.
